Leon R. Stevenson III

Leon was raised in the church but never heard the gospel. While in undergrad he pledged a fraternity that was rooted in Christian principles and he and a friend began studying the bible together. God’s truth convicted his heart and communicated clearly the importance of living out God’s commands. It was near the completion of his graduate degrees that he realized he would find no greater joy than serving God full time. He and his wife have two lovely daughters. They continue to be strengthened in the Lord as they are discipled and discipling others at Mack Avenue Community Church where he is one of the pastors, in Detroit, Michigan.
